A new flagship store in Milan: Arredo3 opens on via Solferino, in the Brera district
On the occasion of Milano Design City, in October 2020, Arredo3 inaugurates its new flagship store in Milan. The location is particularly interesting since the showroom is on the ground floor of “Casa in piazza San Marco”, a historic building designed by Vico Magistretti in 1969.
Arredo3: a showroom for 100% made in Italy kitchens
The showroom, a space dedicated to private clients, architects and interior designers, extends over two floors. On the ground floor, the display area overlooks the street with two large windows. In the basement, a spacious exhibition area hosts several kitchens produced by the Veneto-based company. Moreover, this space hosts a living area, another domestic environment furnished by Arredo3.
The space designed by Andrea Federici wants to enhance the specificity of each kitchen model, both in standard configurations and in customization options. The walls and floors, in neutral tones, provide the ideal stage where Arredo3 furnishing proposals act as the protagonists.
An important part of the project is represented by lighting. The light defines the main routes thanks to lighting fixtures, but also the walls define the light paths, thanks to a system of backlit vertical strips. The refined atmosphere of the Arredo3 showroom is defined by the sober shades of color of the surfaces. A warm gray makes the walls more welcoming, while ceilings and technical elements are in graphite black.
The floors, made of oak planks, are in the same slightly desaturated color, defining a domestic style with industrial influences. The same wood essence covers the staircase, whose walls are covered with vertical strips hiding the lights while guiding one’s way up and downstairs. In this way, the project of the Arredo3 showroom on Via Solferino defines a mood that will be evoked also in other projects by the Veneto-based company.
