Unique design objects

Among the numerous appointments of this rich three-day event, there is the “Oggetti unici” series with speeches by 15 curators from the bodies belonging to the Circuit. Each curator shows and illustrates a sketch, a model, a prototype or an object of particular interest or importance. Among these, the cutlery set for airplanes from the Joe Colombo Archive, the Williams Curved 1 from Museo della Macchina da Scrivere, the 1960s prototype of a home coffee machine by Achille Castiglioni for La Cimbali, and the scale model of the 10 HP Universal tractor from 1948, which was a jewel of Italian industry, from SAME.

In addition to the talks, the spaces of the Agora will host the two “Design in video” evenings, with historic videos, interviews, corporate videos and advertisements. The last appointment of this cultural weekend is the presentation of the volume “Vogliamo ricostruire l’Italia,” created in April 2020 for the 75th anniversary of the Liberation, edited by Lodovico Gualzetti from Archivio Giovanni Sacchi: a collection of posters created by young creatives as a tribute to the designers, graphic designers and architects who served in the Resistance and suffered persecution.
