GILE22, the show dedicated to technical lighting, will be back in Guangzhou, China
Originally scheduled to take place in June, the 27th edition of the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will be held on August 3-6, 2022 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. GILE is one of the most important technical lighting exhibitions in Asia, a platform that hosts business and cultural exchanges. Today, thanks to the new “Power Match” service, it does so both in-person and online.
The 2022 edition of the fair revolves around several key themes, including lighting control technologies, light and quality of life, horticultural lighting, smart city and urban planning. But also residential and commercial lighting, the relationship between health and light, and an extensive conference program to foster expertise exchange on various topics.
Talks and conferences on technical lighting at GILE22
This year’s GILE fringe program will be organized under the theme of ‘Industry Power’ in order to demonstrate the strong growth of the lighting industry. One aspect of this development is that industry players are looking to upgrade their capabilities by adopting new technological breakthroughs, strengthening their business in the process. As one of the leading lighting exhibitions, GILE organizes a wide range of activities, gathering operators from the traditional lighting industry, smart lighting technology, logistics and more to foster business and trade opportunities.
Over the years, the industry has continued to evolve with new technologies aimed not just at increasing the brightness and intensity of lighting but also at developing light that improves the quality of human life. Horticultural lighting in China and human-centered lighting will therefore be discussed at GILE22, at the 9th China innovative LED lighting conference.
Other topics of discussion and development will be provided by the first circadian lighting and smart elderly care lighting forum. On the subject of using data to better understand consumers’ purchase intentions, significant will be the ‘Future and Life’ forum, dedicated specifically to home furniture and lighting.
The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition will take place concurrently with Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology (GEBT). Both shows are part of Messe Frankfurt’s Light + Building Technology fairs headed by the biennial Light + Building event to be held on October 2-6, 2022 in Frankfurt.
