In July 2022, CIFF Guangzhou, China’s and Asia’s most important home and office furniture fair, was back
Despite being postponed again due to the pandemic, CIFF Guangzhou 2022 was well attended in both phases. The first phase was dedicated to home furnishings, and the second to office and contract. From July 17-20 and July 26-29, 2022, the Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex hosted more than 2,500 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions. However, the real novelty of CIFF Guangzhou 2022 was the mixture of in-person and online visits. In addition to about 140,000 visitors, in fact, social and multimedia channels recorded more than 50 million visits and contacts, thus demonstrating the vitality of the exhibition, the most important in Asia.

CIFF Guangzhou 2022: Home Furniture
The first phase of CIFF Guangzhou, July 17-20, 2022, showcased home and outdoor furniture and decoration manufacturers. The exhibitors included 70 brands that had not participated in CIFF for five years and presented products designed mainly for the domestic market.
Among the several events hosted during the fair, special attention goes to the CMF Trend Lab; research interpreted market trends through four workshops. The Digital Post-mankind Lab explored the virtual economy and the digital storyline; Unbalance Lab developed well-being issues in the post-Covid era, food innovation, and a focus on zero emissions. The Nation Oriented Lab focused on innovation in traditional crafts using industrial materials; finally, the Body-Shaming Lab focused on the growing role of women in the economy and their increasing decision-making power in consumption.
The D2M Lab, the platform that connects and creates synergy and opportunities between designers and manufacturers, involved the active participation of about 50 design studios. Finally, the Homedecor & Hometextile section presented the latest trends in interior decoration; Outdoor & Leisure, on the other hand, interpreted outdoor lifestyles, offering increasingly sought-after solutions for the quality of outdoor spaces.
Office Show
The second phase, July 26-29, hosted firms from the office and contract sectors. The Office Show featured leading manufacturers presenting smart and sustainable design solutions for work environments that improve productivity, well-being and safety. Much space was also devoted to the public, commercial spaces, healthcare and senior citizen facilities, as well as schools.
Here, CIFF and China National Furniture Association organized the 2030+ International Future Office (IFO) exhibition, with the theme of Hyper Dimensions. Companies like Steelcase, Koenig+Neurath, Lamex, Sitland, Magis, Estel, Rexite, Gan, Aurora, Sunon, Tom Dixon, and Linak presented their proposals for innovative work environments.
Finally, CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou 2022 was also co-hosted with CIFF. The fair showcased a complete range of technology and semi-finished products for the furniture industry.
