The first phase of CIFF Guangzhou, July 17-20, 2022, showcased home and outdoor furniture and decoration manufacturers. The exhibitors included 70 brands that had not participated in CIFF for five years and presented products designed mainly for the domestic market.
Among the several events hosted during the fair, special attention goes to the CMF Trend Lab; research interpreted market trends through four workshops. The Digital Post-mankind Lab explored the virtual economy and the digital storyline; Unbalance Lab developed well-being issues in the post-Covid era, food innovation, and a focus on zero emissions. The Nation Oriented Lab focused on innovation in traditional crafts using industrial materials; finally, the Body-Shaming Lab focused on the growing role of women in the economy and their increasing decision-making power in consumption.
The D2M Lab, the platform that connects and creates synergy and opportunities between designers and manufacturers, involved the active participation of about 50 design studios. Finally, the Homedecor & Hometextile section presented the latest trends in interior decoration; Outdoor & Leisure, on the other hand, interpreted outdoor lifestyles, offering increasingly sought-after solutions for the quality of outdoor spaces.
