Innovative ideas for the home at HOMI Independent 2022: the kitchen
Comodo and ComodoXL, by Adriano design for Fabita, are portable kitchens condensing all functions into very few elements. A metal lattice structure supports an induction cooktop with two cooking zones, a bar for hanging utensils, and two ash wood shelves. In the XL version, the cooking zone is flush with the worktop, also made of wood. A versatile design for new living needs.
The Illy coffee machine designed by Luca Trazzi is inspired by 1960s Italian industrial design. The new ECO mode, with fast-heating technology, significantly reduces energy consumption by eliminating the waiting time between brews. Every single material used has been chosen to ensure extended durability of the machine. The paper used for packaging is totally recycled and every other packaging element is designed with the environment in mind. Both brewing systems are environmentally sustainable. The machine works with both E.S.E. pods, which are compostable, and ground coffee.
Desk lamps and accessories
The candy-shaped Candy multifunction desk lamp from Candyslab comes with a wireless charging base able to charge both the lamp and the smartphone. Charging is completed in three hours, giving six hours of light without the need for electricity. It is available in two colorful pop-style patterns, Flower and Kiss.
Go Big Avolt is the multi-socket cable collection for homes, offices and public spaces, with a magnetic side that can be attached to any vertical or horizontal surface. Its shape is inspired by Bruno Munari’s Square Circle Triangle trilogy. Avolt won the Red Dot Design Award in 2019.
