The 71st edition of SIA Hospitality Design, the exhibition dedicated to innovation, technology and design for hospitality, is being held at the Rimini Expo Centre from October 12 to 14, 2022. Along with SIA Hospitality Design, the 40th Beach&Outdoor Style is also being held, completing TTG Travel Experience´s marketplace offer.
A comprehensive showcase for the hospitality industry
SIA Hospitality Design 2022 showcases all the elements for the hospitality industry, from rooms, to spas, to outdoor clusters. As for the exhibitors, there will be important regulars and some novelties. The area dedicated to supplies, which has already registered higher levels of participation than the 2019 edition, includes Dorelan, PerDormire, Permaflex and Simmons. Prominent returns will also be seen on the courtesy lines front, with Ammon, Groupe Gm and Allegrini doubling their exhibition spaces. The technology area will also be back to 2019 levels with companies such as 5 Stelle, Stark, Vitrifrigo, Vda Group, Samsung, Lg and, among the new entries, Häfele.
Repower will exhibit technological solutions for recharging electric vehicles, while IndelB will showcase cooling solutions. There will be plenty of new entries in the area dedicated to indoor furniture and materials, which will see proposals by Afa Adria Frigo and Dupont Corian, together with Caimi Brevetti, Pollini, Ponzi, Cafissi, Agorà and Atlas Concorde. The strong demand for customized services is driving the Bathroom and Wellness area, which will be further enriched with new confirmations, including Stenal, one of the leaders in the sauna and Turkish bath sector. Completing the offer is the Camping & Glamping segment with Bio Habitat, Yala Canvas Lodge, BB Concept, Pircher Oberland, ElleHouse and Pacchiani Holz.
“The Ne[s]t” Glamping Exhibition outlines the open-air holiday evolution: architectures integrated into nature and connected to digital ecosystems
The tourism dimension is constantly evolving and seeking for a new dimension, thanks to glamping, the contemporary high-end version of camping. A segment of Italian tourism that is increasingly popular and that as of this year will be part of the SIA exhibition offer, thanks to the recent agreement signed between FAITA FederCamping and Italian Exhibition Group.
Taking refuge in nature
The travelers of today want to take refuge in a secluded and quiet place, far from hustle and bustle. This trend has been detected by the Swg survey carried out for the European rail booking platform Trainline. According to this survey, this year, travelers have been showing a greater desire for nature (+31%) and tranquility (+29%). These data are also reflected in the Camping Report by Campeggi.com. In the first four months of 2022, the website dedicated to outdoor tourism recorded a 150% increase in searches compared to 2021 and an 8% increase compared to 2019.
Zero-impact architectures
Todays’ tourists look for ‘intelligent architectures´: modular spaces that can be modified over time, easy to install and uninstall, that do not pollute and do not alter the relationship with nature. Architect Paolo Scoglio’s “The Ne[s]t” project displays at SIA structures perfectly integrated into the natural environment, connected to digital ecosystems powered by renewable sources.

Nature meets design at SIA Hospitality 2022
The project will be presented at the ´Micro-Hospitality in Nature. Intelligent and reversible architectures for nomadic travelers´ event as part of the program of seminars and conferences organized in the Design and Camping Arenas during the three days of the show. The desire for open air has caused gardens and outdoor spaces to be redesigned, as landscape architect Davide Giorgi will explain in the talk ´Supernature for hospitality. Style conquers green spaces´. Architect Gianpietro Sacchi will speak at the conference entitled ´Surfing Disruption: riding the wave of new tourism by innovating spaces and services for travelers of the present future´, dedicated to interior design.
