Two intense days, an exceptional venue and 3,652 visitors. These are the numbers of the latest edition of ARCHITECT@WORK Milan 2023.
We are already thinking about the 2024 events of ARCHITECT@WORK Milan, which on November 8-9 filled the spaces of the Allianz MiCo with architects, professionals and companies from the building, architecture and interior design industry.
The increase in the number of visitors with respect to the 2022 edition (7%) shows an ever-increasing interest on the part of those involved in the opportunities for meeting and sharing in person that, in this 2023 edition full of innovations and stimulating prospects for the future, added to the network of research, experimentation and exchange that is always available on the event’s digital platform.
Architect@Work Milano, a format looking ahead to the future
And it was precisely the future, enriched by a particular meaning, the theme around which the wide-ranging debate of the numerous talks in the program organized by DDN took place, and that also took shape in the broad and innovative proposal of the exhibition Next Beauty. Evolution and sensoriality of matter curated by Baolab.
Fab Futures. Emerging languages for future generations can be translated, for example, into the frugal innovation proposed by Eleonora Fontana of the Green Building Council in the seminar Guaranteeing a more beautiful, fairer and sustainable future: an invitation to seek in the small size and simplicity of the atavistic gestures of building the cue to innovate and transform with a view to respect and sustainability.
Recycling, reusing and experimenting with new materials
Among the many proposals of the participating companies, appreciated by the public for their high technical qualities and enhanced by the exhibition layout that makes ARCHITECT@WORK recognizable from edition to edition, on an international scale, a new concept of sustainability, no longer only strictly linked to the theme of recycling and reuse, stands out. In fact, an interest in the experimentation with new low-impact materials partially updating an ancient and profoundly concrete awareness of making architecture, has emerged.
