When Art Meets Technology: The Birth of “RIVELAZIONE” by Gaggenau and CRAMUM

A sensory journey spanning the entirety of 2026: how the artist duo TTOZOI, wine, and avant-garde design are redefining the concepts of preservation and waiting

What happens when visual art, experimental viticulture, and the most advanced home technology come together? The answer is RIVELAZIONE (REVELATION), the new project by Gaggenau and CRAMUM under the creative direction of Sabino Maria Frassà. This initiative is not merely a traveling exhibition. On the contrary, it is a profound research journey that spans the whole of 2026. The goal? To investigate the fascinating bond between preservation and the time of matter.

Through the vision of the artists TTOZOI, the project tells the story of the philosophy guiding Gaggenau’s new Vario Cooling Expressive climate-controlled wine cabinets. In this scenario, the home is no longer just a shelter, but becomes the place where the invisible reveals itself and surfaces.

Time of matter

A Traveling Journey Crafted Over Time

The RIVELAZIONE project takes shape through a fascinating journey across Italy. Each stop has been chosen for its ability to preserve and transform art:

  • Milan: An exclusive terrace overlooking the Duomo’s Madonnina.
  • Vicenza: An evocative underground quarry, a memory of Palladian architecture.
  • Rome: The heart of history, where the past turns to stone.

On this journey, the artworks are not simply displayed to the public. In fact, they are born and transformed during the journey itself.

In the Milan and Vicenza stages, created in collaboration with La Collina dei Ciliegi, the experimental wine Prea comes into play. This element serves more than just a symbolic function. On the contrary, it acts as a true living material that interacts with TTOZOI’s canvases. The journey will conclude in 2027 with a major final exhibition in Milan.

Wine Becomes the Author of the Artwork

TTOZOI’s artistic research is based on a unique process. The artists do not paint in the traditional way; instead, they activate the canvas using organic materials. Consequently, the artwork develops autonomously as the days pass.

With the RIVELAZIONE project, this technique encounters wine for the very first time. The wine penetrates the fiber of the canvas, guides its maturation, and determines its colors. The artwork thus becomes the outcome of a natural event rather than human manipulation.

Gaggenau: Preserving to Reveal

This approach based on invisible control and respect for nature is the exact same one that defines the universe of Gaggenau. The new Vario Expressive climate-controlled wine cabinets go beyond the classic concept of a household appliance. In fact, storing a precious bottle is no longer a purely functional gesture, but becomes an act of absolute precision.

Cooling technology accompanies the wine throughout its maturation journey. Infrared sensors, millimeter-precise temperature control, and light management create the perfect microclimate.

“Wine is not simply preserved, but entrusted to the ideal conditions for its own revelation,” explains Mistral Accorsi, Brand Manager of Gaggenau. For this reason, the harmony between the brand and the world of art runs incredibly deep: both create the perfect space where the time of matter can express itself to its fullest potential.
