Building well to live better: technologies and materials for sustainable architecture and building at Klimahouse 2020
“Better building. Better living.” is the claim of Klimahouse 2020, the yearly trade fair dedicated to sustainable building, back in Bolzano from 22 to 25 January.
The 2020 edition, which is the 15th, will take place on 25,000 sq m, with 450 exhibitors. Not only fair booths, but also Klimahouse Congress 2020, an international conference about sustainable building, organized by Agenzia CasaClima. Architecture is currently at the center of a heated discussion where the wellbeing of people is increasingly important.
Klimahouse 2020 is a key event to be informed about the latest proposals in sustainable building and architecture. Moreover, Klimahouse organizes Klimahouse Tours, guided tours organized by Fiera Bolzano with Fondazione Architettura Alto Adige to discover local examples of sustainable architecture.

Also the city of Bolzano will actively participate in the event with Klimahouse x Bolzano. This initiative is organized in collaboration with both private and institutional partners including Comune di Bolzano, Libera Università di Bolzano, traders associations hds, hgv, Confesercenti, BZHEARTBEA, and the Tourist Board.

From 22 to 25 January, several restaurants, hotels, cafes, bistros and shops in the city center will offer local menus and won’t use plastic cutlery, bottles, bags. Furthermore, it will be possible to recognize the businesses taking part in the project from their shop windows, whose theme will be “For a better Future – Save our Planet”.
Finally, Libera Università di Bolzano will host “Onda Z@Klimahouse2020”, a 2-day hackathon on climate change, which will involve over 60 students aged 14-21 from all over Italy.
