Francesca Cesa Bianchi and Marco Giorgio, long-time collaborators of Stefano Boeri, will be official partners of architecture firm Stefano Boeri Architects
As new partners of the practice, Francesca Cesa Bianchi and Marco Giorgio will supervise international and Italian projects, respectively. Currently the practice employees over 60 architects all over the world. Following Milan Vertical Forest, today Stefano Boeri Architetti is working in several areas of the world, from Asia to Europe, to implement the concept of the vertical forest.
Vertical Forests and urban redevelopment are among the projects of Stefano Boeri Architetti
Stefano Boeri Architetti has offices in Milan, Shanghai and Tirana, from which it supervises projects in different countries, such as India, Thailand, Egypt, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Albania, Mexico, Brazil. The ambitious project of “green skyscrapers” and “urban forestry” has thus become the signature of the firm’s work. Among the projects currently underway, we can mention Wonderwoods, in Utrecht, Netherlands, and Eindhoven Vertical Forest, the first meant for social housing.
Besides green building projects, of which the Vertical Forest is a special example, Stefano Boeri Architetti has recently completed FAL Matera Centrale railway station, inaugurated for Matera European Capital of Culture 2019. Moreover, the firm is currently working on other redevelopment projects, such as Bosconavigli in Milan, and buildings with large roof gardens, such as Palazzo Verde in Antwerp and the new Policlinico di Milano.
In Cancún, Mexico, the firm is working on a Smart Forest City. The first Forest City of the new millennium will be an open and international city inspired by the values of technological innovation and environmental quality.
The practice is also currently working on the redevelopment of an area below the Morandi bridge in Genoa. Another important new feature is Stefano Boeri Interiors, the division specialized in interior and furniture design. [Text Anguilla Segura]
