From September 26 to 30, 2022, Cersaie, the trade show dedicated to architectural materials and bathroom furnishings, returns to the Bologna Trade Fair
The premises look great, with the exhibition spaces almost at full capacity. In 2021, when half of the world’s borders were still closed due to the pandemic, Cersaie still had good attendance. In 2022, now that almost the entire world has resumed free travel, we hope to return to pre-pandemic levels.
Discover Cersaie 2021
For some years now, Cersaie has no longer been a fair dedicated only to bathroom furnishings; architectural, interior and exterior materials are of great importance and involve all the best Italian and international players in the industry. The cultural program is equally important.
The ‘Costruire Abitare Pensare’ (Building Dwelling Thinking) meetings in 2022 will feature, among others, Manuel Herz of Manuel Herz Architects. He will give a lecture on his work. Mario Botta, on the other hand, will give a talk entitled “Building Peace,” with the participation of Fulvio Irace.
Meetings and conferences
The Press Cafés, organized by trade publications, will be dedicated to sustainability this year, and there will be 23 of them. New this year is that they will begin in the week before the fair, in digital mode. In-person meetings will also be livestreamed, via the Cersaie Digital channel. These will be joined by the technical and informative seminars of the Tiling Town, the special event that is turning 10 years old.

Also returning to Cersaie 2022 is the ‘Cersaie Design Your Home’ initiative, now in its 10th edition. Also for this year’s edition, the format includes free consultancy to design your own home. It is a unique opportunity to get advice on how to best arrange the rooms in your home. Fifteen magazines provide their experts.
New spaces at Cersaie
The 39th edition of Cersaie sees an important novelty in the spaces. This year, in fact, Cersaie rises one floor and sets up the thematic itineraries Cersaie Upstairs, on the second floor. The pedestrian path connecting the historic pavilions with the new pavilions includes many events. Gallery 25/26 hosts the VIP lounge and an exhibition dedicated to earth and fire. Gallery 21/22, on the other hand, hosts Archincontract, an area dedicated to contracting. Six major architectural firms (Lombardini 22, Pininfarina, One Works, Noa*, Iosa Ghini Associati-IGA, Handel Architects) will show their design philosophy in a setting dedicated to air and water. Visitors can view the projects through augmented reality or by entering a metaverse through special glasses.
