COLLECTIBLE 2025: the future of contemporary design

From March 13 to 16, 2025, the European edition of COLLECTIBLE in Brussels will showcase the best in contemporary design with a focus on innovation and experimentation

COLLECTIBLE 2025: a global stage for contemporary design

Starting in Brussels, the fair recently made its successful debut in the United States with a New York edition in September 2024. Today, with a dual identity spanning two continents, it has undoubtedly become an unmissable event for design enthusiasts and professionals worldwide.

An integrated and scenographic experience

COLLECTIBLE pushes the boundaries of creativity, providing a platform where established galleries, design studios, and independent editors can showcase their work in spectacular scenographies. Through collaborations with curators, institutions, and design foundations, the fair features unique pieces, limited editions, and world premieres, along with commissions and curated projects that reflect the most innovative trends in the international design landscape. Participant selection is entrusted to a panel of experts from the global design and creative sectors, including Mette Barford (Denmark), Prof. Tulga Beyerle (Germany), Lidewij Edelkoort (Netherlands), and Dorothée Meilichzon (France/USA).

The sections of COLLECTIBLE 2025: a journey into the discovery of design

The beating heart of COLLECTIBLE 2025 is represented by the MAIN and BESPOKE sections, which host international galleries and independent design studios, showcasing the best of contemporary design. The DIALOGUE section offers a fusion of works from the ’80s and ’90s alongside contemporary pieces, while the NEW GARDE gives visibility to galleries, project spaces, and collectives with less than three years of activity. Finally, the ARCHITECT DESIGNER section is dedicated to professional designers and architects showcasing their latest furniture collections.

Curating the future of design with the CURATED sector

A highly anticipated highlight every year is the CURATED section, which serves as a platform for exploring radical ideas and experimentation in design. This year, the theme is “The Reality of the Virtual,” and participants, including emerging and mid-career designers, are invited to explore the intersection between digital technologies and embodied knowledge, creating works that oscillate between reality and imagination. The section will be curated by New York-based artist and writer Brecht Wright Gander, with support from the international jury consisting of Adrian Madlener, Max Radford, and Olivier Zeitoun.

COLLECTIBLE 2025 thus reaffirms itself as one of the most prestigious and cutting-edge fairs in the international design scene; an unmissable opportunity to discover new trends and meet the key figures shaping the design of the future.
