From 22 to 26 September, at BolognaFiere the 42nd edition of the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings explores new perspectives on architectural space
The visual concept of Cersaie 2025 portrays an architecture that opens up, transforms, and adapts. A tridimensional composition of overlapping volumes and coloured planes becomes a metaphor for a design vision that doesn’t merely define space but interprets it as flow, contamination, and experience. Designed by Interpromex, the new manifesto evolves the visual language of the previous edition and reinforces Cersaie’s identity as a space for architectural design—a symbolic and physical place where architecture meets design and engages in dialogue with society.

Cersaie 2025: more space, more vision, more content
With 155,000 sqm of exhibition space—10,000 more than in 2024—Cersaie once again proves itself as the go-to platform for design professionals. The updated layout, organised by theme, enhances the experience and highlights the latest innovations: from ceramic surfaces to hybrid materials, bathroom furnishings, contract solutions, startups and finishes for interiors and exteriors. Cersaie presents a complete ecosystem designed for architects, interior designers, contractors and distributors from around the world.

Spotlight on tiling and excellence
The newly revamped Pavilion 19 becomes the beating heart of tiling culture. The “City of Tiling” returns with a larger, more interactive setup featuring live demos, workshops, technical seminars and networking areas. The Cersaie World Tiling Lab adds an international dimension, where young tilers from Italy, Switzerland, Denmark and Brazil take on complex spatial challenges—from bathrooms and staircases to outdoor environments and facades. Cersaie thus positions installation as a central pillar of design and construction quality.

A cultural programme to inspire
Cersaie 2025 is also a space for reflection. Meetings, talks, lectio magistralis, and installations offer a comprehensive view of contemporary design. Returning for its tenth edition, I Café della Stampa—with DDN once again among the key participants—features a programme built around five central themes of living. The Bagno Architettura Lounge Let’s Talk, curated by Angelo Dall’Aglio and Davide Vercelli, enhances the visitor experience with an immersive installation, while The Square hosts international architecture conferences and the official Ceramics of Italy press event.

Talent, opportunity, global reach
On 25 September, the second edition of the Career Day will connect students and graduates with ceramic industry leaders. It’s a moment of dialogue between education and professional reality, reinforcing Cersaie’s role in shaping the future. Meanwhile, the Cersaie Business programme brings over 200 professionals from across the globe to Bologna—buyers, tile setters, association representatives and international media—making the event a truly global hub for design innovation.
Cersaie 2025 is more than a trade fair: it’s a space where the future of living is imagined and built. A living, three-dimensional manifesto that embodies the true meaning of “a space for architectural design”.
