The kitchen according to Citterio: a project that unites function and form, technique and design precision
Designed by Antonio Citterio, Proxima defines a new balance between functionality, performance, and design. This kitchen system interprets the domestic space with a design mindset, integrating professional functions with solutions tailored for everyday living.

Consistently included in the Arclinea collection, Proxima reaffirms the kitchen’s central role as a place of relationships and connections.
Proxima Arclinea: functional design and performance
Arclinea’s Proxima model goes beyond merely hosting function: it enhances it. Every choice arises from a design approach focused on efficiency, durability, and essentiality. The reference to professional space translates into a technical yet welcoming environment, balanced between operational rigor and everyday comfort.
Aesthetic precision and selected materials
Proxima stands out for measured elegance, built on material quality and detail engineering. The perimeter vertical handle becomes an architectural feature, running along the island and columns, defining both visual and functional identity.

The matte Noir Saint Laurent marble countertop and backsplash, Stopsol glass, PVD Plus black stainless steel, and fossil oak NTF wood are not mere decorative elements: each material is selected for its technical and aesthetic qualities, contributing to a material continuity that expresses solidity and durability.
The island as a functional core
The central element of the project is the island, topped by the New Convivium hood: the focal point around which an organized and continuous space is structured.
The wall-mounted operational area and side columns complete a system designed to facilitate daily activities. The Pro plinth band, made of folded stainless steel, becomes an architectural detail highlighting the balance between material and proportions.
Materiality and contrast
The combination of the black marble and steel with the warm grain of fossil oak NTF is not a decorative choice, but a design balance. Interiors and wall units develop a coherent material language, where contrast becomes a tactile and visual expression.
Specialized spaces, advanced organization
Alongside the main operational area, Proxima integrates dedicated storage spaces: the wine cellar zone, with Vina elements from the Duet collection, is enclosed by double Frame System doors that do not hide but organize. Fossil oak wood defines a material counterpoint within a technical language.

Proxima fits into the Arclinea collection as part of an integrated design system, based on modularity, compositional precision, and the ability to create dialogue between functions. A coherent project where design becomes the daily expression of living.
