Superstudio Photo Award 2026: “Metamorphosis, from Clothes to Skin: Differently ME”

Call for Young Photographers Opens – Deadline: December 15, 2025

MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas and Superstudio Events proudly announce the launch of the Superstudio Photo Award 2026. This first edition, titled “Metamorphosis, from Clothes to Skin: Differently ME”, celebrates young photographers aged 18–28 enrolled in European schools, academies, or universities in photography, visual communication, design, or fashion. FUJIFILM joins as the official sponsor

The aim of the award is to promote young creatives by offering them the opportunity to showcase their work in one of Milan’s most iconic venues, Superstudio Più, during the fair from March 19 to 22, 2026.

Honoring Oliviero Toscani

This edition pays tribute to the legendary photographer Oliviero Toscani, whose groundbreaking vision transformed fashion photography and visual storytelling.

The award aims to inspire young creatives to push boundaries and explore personal expression, connecting the legacy of past masters with the next generation of talent.

Exhibition and Awards

European students aged 18 to 28 who are enrolled in schools, academies, or universities in the fields of photography, visual communication, design, or fashion are eligible to participate. Each candidate can submit a project consisting of 5 to 10 images, either analog or digital, with complete stylistic freedom

Le opere selezionate saranno esposte nella mostra collettiva della fiera, con pannelli dedicati a ciascun autore. Un vincitore, scelto dalla giuria tecnica e dal pubblico, avrà l’opportunità di realizzare uno shooting fotografico professionale gratuito presso Superstudio 13, con attrezzatura fornita da FUJIFILM.

Awards and Opportunities

  • Free exhibition for up to 10 finalists during MIA Photo Fair BNP Paribas 2026.
  • Personalized professional photo shoot for one of the finalists selected by the public and the technical jury.
  • Participation in a Pre-Production Meeting (PPM), a professional session to develop the project before the photo shoot.

The award aims to serve as a bridge between the past and the future, inspiring young people to pursue new creative and cultural achievements.

An outstanding jury

The selection will be managed by industry professionals, including curators, photographers, and journalists, and will be supported by the fair’s public jury, who will vote via QR Code.

Deadline and Information
