DESOP is born, the new Design Operations software integrating digital tools and AI to simplify the customer experience and make furniture system management scalable across real estate, retail and design
Contract District Group enters a new phase of growth by focusing on digital transformation and the integration of Artificial Intelligence into its business processes. This evolution strengthens the Group’s positioning as an advanced platform at the intersection of design, real estate and distribution, with the goal of optimizing the entire furniture design and sales cycle.

From real estate to Direct to Consumer
Since 2016, CDG has been developing services to integrate furnishing systems into residential real estate projects, simplifying the purchasing journey and enabling customers to move into fully furnished homes. In 2023, this expertise was further expanded with a Direct to Consumer focus, while maintaining a solid B2B2C structure and introducing a faster, more scalable and fully digital customer journey.
DESOP, the digital core of the new model
From this vision comes DESOP (Design Operations), a native software platform that, starting in 2026, will become the research and configuration hub of a new experimental and scalable model for furniture retail. The platform manages the complexity of modular systems—kitchens, wardrobes and living areas—by accelerating design, quotation and graphic output processes.

An integrated physical and digital experience
DESOP combines in-person interior design consultancy with advanced digital tools, enabling real-time visualization and design of the main furniture systems. This furnishing approach enhances the value of sales time and aligns the furniture sector with digital models already established in other B2C industries.
Advisory Board and industrial vision
Supporting the development of the DESOP platform is a high-profile advisory board. Alongside Lorenzo Pascucci, CEO and Founder of CDG, are Vincenzo Riili, former CMO of Google Italy with expertise in AI integration, and Paolo Lazzarini, CSO of one of Italy’s leading publicly listed multinational companies.
