The New Face of Luxury Hospitality at Milano-Cortina 2026: Between Urban Rigor and Alpine Warmth
As the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics approach, Italian hospitality architecture is preparing to redefine the standards of elite tourism. It is not merely a matter of welcoming athletes and spectators, but of offering an immersive experience where design becomes the trait d’union between the Milanese metropolis and the Dolomite peaks.
In this landscape, projects signed by Flaviano Capriotti Architetti emerge as iconic benchmarks. Through the restyling of the Park Hyatt Milano and the expansion of the Faloria Mountain Spa Resort in Cortina, the firm outlines a complementary vision of luxury: a narrative that intertwines local identity, noble materials, and whispered elegance, ready to enchant the international audience of Milano-Cortina 2026.

Park Hyatt Milano: Silent Elegance in the Heart of the Metropolis
Just steps from the Duomo, the Park Hyatt Milano represents the pinnacle of urban hospitality. Flaviano Capriotti curated the design of the new Signature Suites (Duomo, Montenapoleone, Brera), drawing inspiration from the masters of post-war Italian design.
- Materials and Colors: Dark oak, Verde Alpi marble, and pearl-gray silk create an atmosphere of “measured luxury.”
- Iconic Furnishings: The spaces engage in a dialogue with historic pieces by Albini, Ponti, and Mari, celebrating Italian craftsmanship.
- Gastronomic Experience: The Pellico 3 Milano restaurant completes the offering with a sensory interior design, where mirrors, soft lighting, and Mediterranean colors reflect the cuisine of Chef Guido Paternollo.

Faloria Mountain Spa Resort: The New Alpine Standard in Cortina
Moving toward the Ampezzo peaks, the Faloria Mountain Spa Resort positions itself as the refuge of choice for the winter games. Here, architecture interprets the landscape: Dolomitic stone and brushed larch wood bring the outdoors into the suites.
The New Tofane Suites
Recently inaugurated, the new suites offer breathtaking views of the Tofane group. Capriotti recovered historic larch ceilings, integrating them with contemporary charcoal-stained oak details. A distinctive element is the botanical research: ten flowers typical of the Dolomites—taken from the 18th-century atlas Florae Austriacae—are reproduced on the headboards, creating a narrative thread that unites nature and craftsmanship.

High-Altitude Wellness and Gastronomy
With a 1,000 sqm Spa and a semi-Olympic pool, the Faloria is a temple of well-being. The restaurant, led by Chef Giovanni Gagliardo, highlights small local producers, offering a sustainable gastronomic journey that reflects the soul of the territory.
Towards the Olympics: Tailor-Made Hospitality
In view of Milano-Cortina 2026, staying in these structures means experiencing the Olympic event through the lens of great Italian design. Whether admiring the “Madonnina” from the terrace of the Duomo Suite in Milan or observing the historic 1956 ski jump from the Faloria Penthouse, the guest is at the center of a story made of beauty and discretion.
These two projects demonstrate how excellence in hospitality can transform into a cultural bridge, capable of uniting the energy of the city and the majesty of the mountains in a single, unforgettable Olympic journey.
