From the first polyethylene in 1976 to the birth of the Isolmant Academy: half a century of Italian history dedicated to living well-being and the culture of silence
The Tecnasfalti Group is celebrating its first 50 years. This milestone represents more than just the success of a family-run business—now in its third generation—it reflects the very history of acoustic insulation in Italy. Founded in 1976 by Ugo Canni Ferrari, the Milanese “wellness company” has successfully transformed a technical material into a true culture of indoor comfort, becoming an essential benchmark for contemporary construction.

From the Origins to the Success of the Isolmant Brand
The Group’s history has deep roots. It all began with the supply of cross-linked polyethylene, but the true insight came in 1980 with the acquisition of Isolmant. From that moment on, the company focused its research on under-screed applications, anticipating market needs by decades. With the 1995 Framework Law on Acoustic Pollution, acoustic insulation ceased to be an optional extra and became a fundamental requirement. Tecnasfalti Group emerged as the ideal technological partner for developing cutting-edge solutions for both horizontal and vertical applications.

Innovation and Design: The Evolution of Isolspace
The company’s growth path has led it beyond the boundaries of traditional construction. In 2017, the Isolspace brand was launched, introducing the concept of design-led acoustic correction. Products like the internationally award-winning Oblique Collection demonstrate how acoustic insulation can integrate harmoniously with interior furnishings. This constant evolution has allowed the Group to expand into over 50 countries, taking Italian technology from residential renovations to scientific bases in Antarctica.

Sustainability and the Future: The Fossil Free Line and the Academy
Today, the challenge shifts toward environmental responsibility. With the Fossil Free line, made 100% from renewable sources, the Group demonstrates that it is possible to guarantee excellent technical performance while reducing the impact on the planet. However, the commitment to the future also involves people: 2026 marks the launch of the Isolmant Academy, a project dedicated to training and supporting young Italian sporting talents.
As emphasized by CEO Eugenio Canni Ferrari, these 50 years are the foundations upon which to build the market of tomorrow, promoting an acoustic insulation culture that is increasingly integrated, sustainable, and international.
