The Welcoming Void: Raw Purity in the Heart of Veneto

Bongiana Architetture transforms a former rural building into a manifesto of essentiality, where Isoplam continuous flooring defines the space of conviviality

There are houses born not to possess objects, but to host moments. In the province of Padua, architects Pietro Bongiana and Silvia Codato have reclaimed an old rural building following a precise philosophy: raw purity. The project does not seek formal perfection, but rather material authenticity.

The designers emptied the original structure to release double-height volumes. They eliminated doors, replacing them with heavy felt curtains, and reduced furnishings to a few frugal elements in iron and concrete. The result is a seasonal retreat dedicated to rest, memories, and outdoor living.

The Surface as a Neutral Stage

In this context of stripped-back elegance, the choice of materials plays a fundamental role. To visually unite the rooms and ensure maximum freedom of movement, the firm chose a cement-based continuous floor.

The Deco Nuvolato solution by Isoplam, in the shade Mineral Gray, coats the expansive surfaces of the house. The absence of joints eliminates any visual interruption, transforming the floor into a fluid horizon that dialogues with the raw walls and the natural light streaming from above.

Resistance and Aesthetics Without Compromise

A home dedicated to barbecues, vegetable gardens, and family gatherings requires surfaces capable of withstanding intense use. The Isoplam continuous floor does not just respond to a contemporary aesthetic need; it ensures high technical performance.

The Deco Nuvolato blend resists stains, scratches, and wear, facilitating maintenance in a home lived in an informal and dynamic way. Its texture, characterized by light tone-on-tone nuances, gives depth to the environments without ever overpowering them.

“Carefree” Living

The project by Bongiana Architetture demonstrates how rural reclamation can abandon rustic clichés to embrace an almost brutalist language. In this grammar of subtraction, the Isoplam continuous floor becomes the silent element that holds together the building’s past and the present of its inhabitants. Every detail, from the choice of the Mineral Gray color to the tactile finish, contributes to an atmosphere of calm and spontaneous hospitality.
