Within the walls of a former dairy at Portuense 201, the designer inaugurates her new studio, Et Al, with a wallpaper collection that transforms light into matter
Light not as illumination, but as an emerging presence. This is the core of Aura, the new wallpaper collection by Daniela Pinotti, which will be officially presented on March 20, 2026, in Rome. The event also marks the debut of Et Al (And Others), the designer’s new creative space located within the vibrant Portuense 201 district.

Aura: The Mark Where Color Recedes
Daniela Pinotti’s research for this collection focuses on the expressive power of the handmade mark and the art of subtraction. Aura is divided into four distinct designs—Veil, Haze, Glint, and Echo—born from an artisanal process using dusty pigments and material manipulation.
In these works, the light source is not added, but revealed: the design appears exactly where the color withdraws, leaving room for a silent radiation. The Aura collection challenges traditional mediums, unfolding across surfaces that enhance its depth:
- Metallic Gauze: for iridescent reflections and industrial textures.
- Slub Silk: for a precious, organic, and enveloping feel.
- Classic Paper: for a return to the purity of the mark.

Et Al: From Former Dairy to Experimental Lab
The setting chosen by Daniela Pinotti to present Aura is itself part of the narrative. The Et Al studio was born from the restoration of a historic former dairy, a place that for decades served as a social landmark for the Portuense neighborhood.
The industrial architecture of the past has now become a dynamic design hub. For the occasion, the space will host an immersive installation: printed panels will be suspended in a play of voids and overlaps, allowing visitors to move between fabrics and observe how light filters and dissolves through the textures of Aura.

A Complete Sensory Experience
The inauguration on March 20th will be more than just a visual moment. The presentation of Aura will engage the senses at 360 degrees:
- Food Design: a concept by La Bread Editor will interpret the themes of the collection through food.
- Wine Experience: a curated selection from the Marche-based winery Agricola Lanciani will accompany the journey through Daniela Pinotti’s designs.
With this project, the designer does more than propose a wall covering; she redefines the atmosphere of the living space through a poetic and tactile sensibility.
