Massimo Iosa Ghini signs a new grammar of living through fluidity, sculptural stoneware, and a green soul
Italian design is not just made of objects, but of pauses, breaths, and graphic signs that dictate the rhythm of our daily lives. In this new grammar of Made in Italy design, previewed during Milan Design Week 2026, an element destined to change the syntax of domestic space makes its debut: Virgola by ARAN Cucine.
Born from the pencil of architect Massimo Iosa Ghini, this collection is more than just a kitchen; it is a conscious pause in the frantic chaos of modern life. Like a comma (virgola) in a complex sentence, the project introduces a deep breath between the functions of living, merging innovation with responsibility.

The Curve as a Calligraphic and Ergonomic Sign
The beating heart of Virgola by ARAN Cucine is the curve. Moving beyond the rigidity of sharp edges and geometric fragmentation, Iosa Ghini proposes a soft, almost calligraphic geometry. This choice is not purely aesthetic: the curve becomes a structural principle that embraces the individual, making movements in the kitchen more fluid and natural.
The composition replaces the “full stop” of traditional design with a continuous line. This approach is masterfully reflected in the curved portion of the worktop, featuring:
- Material Continuity: An integrated sink made from the same porcelain stoneware as the countertop.
- Sculptural Precision: The absence of visible joints ensures exceptionally high hygienic standards and a monolithic visual impact.
- Evolved Functionality: A washing area that transforms into a multi-functional element thanks to dedicated accessories.

Technology and Sustainability: Substance Beyond Form
In Virgola by ARAN Cucine, beauty is never an end in itself. The curvature of the stoneware represents a technological milestone that opens new performance scenarios. The integrated snack island, a natural extrusion of the main monolith, organizes the space by promoting conviviality while reducing superfluous components according to a logic of material efficiency.
The company’s green philosophy shines through every technical detail:
- Certified Materials: Exclusive use of FSC® certified woods.
- Health and Environment: Water-based paints with extremely low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions.
- Durability: Hi-tech stoneware surfaces that are resistant and designed to stand the test of time.

An Open Sentence to Inhabit
Virgola by ARAN Cucine restores a sentimental dimension to daily gestures. Inspired by the cycles of nature, this kitchen does not close the conversation on furnishing but transforms it into an “open sentence.” It is an invitation to experience space not as a series of tasks, but as a harmonious flow of experiences, where the punctuation of design creates the perfect balance between form and responsibility.
