PAA at Salone Internazionale del Bagno 2026: Time Out as the New Luxury

Blending Latvian craftsmanship and contemporary design, the brand transforms the bathroom into an oasis of temporal suspension and sensory well-being

In a contemporary world dominated by relentless rhythms, frantic deadlines, and quick morning showers taken in a rush, the very concept of home wellness is undergoing a profound revolution. Latvian brand PAA intercepted this collective urgency at Salone Internazionale del Bagno 2026 with a disruptive vision: the bathroom is no longer a mere functional area, but a sanctuary to make time stand still. This philosophy centers around the concept of a “time out”—viewed not as laziness, but as an absolute value to redefine the relationship between humans, water, and interior architecture.

When Water Halts Time: The PAA Philosophy

Founded in 1993 on the outskirts of Riga, PAA has stood out since its origins for its completely integrated production model. By developing both products and molds entirely in-house, the company ensures absolute control over quality, materials, and processes. At this year’s exhibition, the brand chose to go beyond presenting simple furnishings, curating instead a genuine experience of emotional suspension and rejuvenation.

The Karim Rashid Signature: The POINTE and ALBA Collections

To give form and substance to this vision, PAA collaborated with world-renowned designer Karim Rashid, resulting in the POINTE and ALBA collections. Both lines interpret rest as a moment of lucid awareness within everyday life, pushing past conventional solutions through a bold, poetic, and emotional aesthetic approach.

POINTE: The Balance and Grace of Dance

The POINTE collection draws explicit inspiration from the intrinsic elegance of classical ballet. Its organic, fluid shapes celebrate concepts of movement, balance, and grace, enveloping the body in a structural lightness that transforms immersion in water into a harmonious, almost choreographic experience.

ALBA: The Sculptural Minimalism of Morning

Conversely, the ALBA line is built around a rigorous yet welcoming sculptural minimalism. Clean, essential geometric lines progressively soften to evoke the horizon line of a rising sun. ALBA thus becomes the graphic symbol of inner renewal, bringing a new way of conceiving daily relaxation to the stage of Salone Internazionale del Bagno 2026.

Northern Europe Meets Italy: The INFINITY Collection

Alongside Rashid’s creations, PAA presented INFINITY, a premium collection designed by Massimo Farinatti that fosters a tight dialogue between architectural rigor and signature detailing.

In INFINITY, sculptural forms and design complexity meet in a perfect balance of nature and technology. The collection masterfully merges the geometric essentialism characteristic of Nordic design with the sophisticated elegance of Italian style. This project also prioritizes sustainability, translating it into the use of highly durable materials and a timeless formal language capable of outlasting passing trends.

Material and Craftsmanship: The Sensoriality of Silkstone

The sensory journey is completed by Silkstone, an innovative solid surface material developed entirely in PAA’s laboratories. Silkstone represents another interpretation of the “time out” concept through the power of touch. Its surface, incredibly soft and silky to the tactile sense, enhances biological contact with water. At the same time, advanced manufacturing processes and meticulous hand-finishing deliver a refined, deep material experience.

This approach reflects the core identity of PAA—historically born from the intersection of physics, medicine, and fine craftsmanship, and evolved through constant technological development that has never renounced manual attention to detail.

The Future of Bathroom Design at Salone 2026

Through this mosaic of synergetic visions, PAA invites industry professionals and homeowners alike to rethink the bathroom. It is no longer just a utility room, but a designated space for regeneration and inner awareness.

The innovations unveiled at Salone Internazionale del Bagno 2026 prove that in a world that constantly accelerates, stopping is not a mere aesthetic whim or an accessory luxury. Instead, it is a fundamental necessity to permanently elevate the quality of our daily lives.
