Among the most read posts in 2021, those about the Supersalone and Fuorisalone, including DDN HUB, the event organized by DDN, take the lion’s share
Probably due to a year without fairs, or at least very few, the most read posts of 2021 mostly concern Supersalone, Fuorisalone and 2021 events.
Also the constantly updated calendar of international design and furniture fairs 2022 was very popular.
Last winter, probably because we were still on lockdown, the posts dedicated to Archispritz were quite successful. The architecture webinars organized by Silvano Arcamone and Grazia Torre saw the participation of many internationally renowned architects; the conversations focused on the various themes brought to light by the pandemic.

The most read post in 2021: Fuorisalone and events for 2021
The most read post in 2021 is the one dedicated to the Fuorisalone events in the center of Milan. Among the many notable events held in downtown Milan during Fuorisalone 2021, we can mention the opening of new showrooms: D Studio Milano at Via Durini 14, the new space that hosts B&B Italia, Maxalto, Azucena, Arclinea, Flos and Louis Poulsen in a single design experience; the new Bottega Ghianda showroom at via Pisoni 2.

Supersalone 2021
Among the most read posts of 2021, tied with Fuorisalone in the center of Milan, there is the post dedicated to the Supersalone 2021. The September 2021 special edition of the Milan Design Week closed with extremely positive results. The Supersalone was attended by over 60,000 visitors in six days, while the various Fuorisalone events welcomed 30,000-50,000 people.

DDN HUB 2021
In third place among the most read posts is the post dedicated to DDN HUB 2021. The event organized by DDN has seen a good participation of public also in 2021. Among the highlights of the event, we can mention the Gala Dinner with the first design Red Carpet, and the presentation of the book Storia del Fuorisalone/History of the Milan Design Week.

Alcova’s Fuorisalone event in the Baggio district: a success beyond expectations
The third edition of Alcova’s Fuorisalone discovered new abandoned buildings. The 2021 edition of the Alcova event occupied three historical buildings at the beginning of via Saint Bon, inside the Inganni barracks. In total, the exhibition occupied about 3,500 square meters of indoor and outdoor spaces, with over 50 exhibitors including independent designers, innovative brands, galleries, cultural institutions and companies.

In fifth place among the most read posts of 2021, we find the post dedicated to Spatium Piscine, a new collection of above ground pools that are modular and customizable, suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces. This project dedicated to the world of wellness took part in DDN HUB as one of the main sponsors.

Archispritz: architecture webinars
The article dedicated to the presentation of Archispritz, the new format, curated by Silvano Arcamone and Grazia Torre holds the sixth place among the most read posts.
From January 20 to April 7, a series of weekly webinars hosted prestigious Italian and international architects. These meetings provided the opportunity to reflect on the dramatic period we are going through and discover new ways of using public and private spaces.

Fuorisalone events 2021: Tortona Design Week
Also the 7th place is occupied by the Fuorisalone, this time with the Tortona Design Week. A rich program of events with many participants made the Tortona Design Week an event of great interest; moreover, the Milan Design Week was the first major design event to be held in the West in 2021. New Standard exhibition, Finnish Pavilion, Biennale Architettura 2021
In eighth place among the most read posts of 2021, there is the New Standards exhibition at the Finnish Pavilion of the Biennale Architettura 2021. Designed by Alvar Aalto for Venice Biennale 1956, it is currently a landmark in Venice’s artistic landscape. On the occasion of Venice Architecture Biennale 2021, the Finnish Pavilion hosted the New Standards exhibition, dedicated to a project of prefabricated wooden homes that set a new standard in the field of low cost and low environmental impact homes. The exhibition, commissioned by Archinfo Finland, was designed by the team of three curators linked to the Aalto University: Laura Berger, Philip Tidwell and Kristo Vesikansa.

In nineth place among the most read posts of 2021, there is Wallover, Caccaro’s furnishing system. Wallover is the new system of horizontal and vertical storage units combined on the wall with rhythm and proportions that give an architectural touch to domestic spaces.

Daan Roosegaarde and GROW, agriculture without pesticides
The last of our top 10 most read posts of 2021 is dedicated to a magical installation by Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde. This installation covers a 20,000 sqm leek crop in the Northern Netherlands. GROW is a system of LED lights projecting red and blue lights on plants’ leaves by using the most advanced photobiology techniques. Blue and red lights enhance plant growth and reduce the use of pesticides by up to 50%.
