Rome: Michelangelo’s Adolescent at palazzo rhinoceros

At the new palazzo rhinoceros, the headquarters of Fondazione Alda Fendi – Esperimenti, Michelangelo’s Adolescent is on show until March 10th, 2019

Michelangelo’s Adolescent, on loan from Saint Petersburg’s State Hermitage Museum, is exhibited in Rome for the first time, at palazzo rhinoceros (via dei Cerchi 21), thanks to a three-year agreement between Fondazione Alda Fendi – Esperimenti and the prestigious Russian museum, aimed at increasing cultural relationships between Russia and Italy. Michelangelo’s masterpiece will be on show until March 10th, 2019; free admission.

Alda Fendi writes: “Impeccable shape, strength of a pensive and discouraged adolescent. An almost fetal position, to listen to the heartbeats of a reborn world. The young strength of the natural absolute. Rethinking Michelangelo as a concentric force of remote subconscious that will mark a life. Living to embrace the music of the non-finite. Antithetical hypothesis to infinity.”

Palazzo rhinoceros, conceived by Fondazione Alda Fendi – Esperimenti, inaugurated on October 11th 2018, is a new cultural space obtained from a historic building of the 17th century, between the Arch of Janus and the area of the Roman Forum, dedicated to host exhibitions, multimedia installations, performances and art experiments.
