What will the house of the future look like? Which trends dominate home style in 2019? At Ambiente, in Frankfurt, February 8 to 12, a panorama of the new trends in furniture, materials, styles and colours.
Every year the design studio Stilbüro bora.herke.palmisano investigates the trends in furniture, through art, design, architecture, fashion and lifestyle. The results are summarized in three macro-trends leading up to 2019: Tasteful Residence, Quiet Surroundings and Joy-Filled Ambience.
Tasteful Residence
The elegance and style distinguishing the solid wood and leather furniture, with soft velvet and bouclé wool, and porcelain accessories. A style enriched by colored glass and polished surfaces, which pays homage to the traditional craftsmanship of furniture that “last over time”.
Quiet Surroundings
Essential products and nature-friendly products in soft colors, with materials to create relaxed ambiences: wool, silk, hemp, wood, stone, ceramic, combined for an atmosphere conveying a sense of serenity. The products are often made of recycled materials, also recovering techniques no longer in use.
Joy-Filled Ambience
Millennials who love to create their own personal style, choose bold colors and eclectic decor. This is the trend which best sums up a contemporary style with a strong personality. Diverse and mixed materials, geometric patterns on wallpapers defining very distinctive ambiences, with some vintage accents.
Trends and all the new products for the contemporary home can be discovered at Ambiente, Messe Frankfurt, Frankfurt, from 8 to 12 February 2019.
During the fair, every day, at 11.30 and 14.30, in Hall 9.1, at the Ambiente Academy stage, Annetta Palmisano of Stilbüro bora.herke.palmisano will illustrate the trends through real cases, and Claudia Herke will guide a tour of the exhibition.
