Milano Moda Donna Fashion Shows: “Welcome to Milan”

The fashion shows of Milano Moda Donna F/W 2019/2020 will start tomorrow with new entries, guests, special events, Fashion Hub and the fashion film Welcome to Milan

Milano Moda Donna – MMD, from 19 to 25 February 2019, presents the Fall/Winter 2019/2020 collections. And the whole city will be brimming with fashion with 60 fashion shows, 80 presentations and 30 events. Two new entries are on the calendar: Marco Rambaldi, a young Italian designer for Marios (brand born from the creative genius of Mayo Loizou and Leszek Chmielewsk) and Alexandra Moura, Portuguese fashion designer from Lisbon, supported by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (National Chamber for Italian Fashion).

Angel Chen, Bottega Veneta with Daniel Lee’s debut and Gucci are back on the calendar. Antonio Marras, Atsushi Nakashima, Bottega Veneta, Byblos, GCDS, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Missoni, Moncler, Roberto Cavalli and Salvatore Ferragamo will present co-ed shows.The Fashion Week will open with the special event organized by United Colors of Benetton with the artistic direction of Jean-Charles de Castlebajac, while the final evening will be organized by the Municipality of Milan, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and S.Pellegrino to celebrate all the young talents on the calendar, some young chefs and the 120th anniversary of S.Pellegrino.

Amazing venues such as Sala delle Cariatidi at Palazzo Reale, Spazio Cavallerizze – an integral part of the Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia ‘Leonardo da Vinci’ – and Palazzo Giureconsulti will be the multi-functional spaces dedicated to fashion shows and presentations, along with the venues chosen by each brand on the calendar.

The special ‘Fashion Hub’ organized by CNMI in collaboration with Camera Buyer will be open during the whole fashion week and will present 12 young Italian and international talents: 16 R Firenze, Andrea Mondin, Angelia Ami, Ara Lumiere, Chakshyn, Dhruv Kapoor, Federico Cina, Kartikeya, Moon Choi, Moon J, Retropose, Rowen Rose. There will also be the 3 winners of the International Woolmark Prize 2018/2019, a project created by The Woolmark Company to showcase the beauty and versatility of Australian Merino wool.

The special guests of MMD will be the Hungarian designers with HFDA – Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (Abodi, Artista, Celeni, Cukovy, Elysian, Je Suis Belle, Tomcsanyi, Zsigmond Dora menswear) and some selected Chinese designers who will present their collections: Alexstorm, F/FFFFFF, Lanneret, Mukzin, Scale 79 Studio, Vmajor, Zynggati.

Welcome to Milan” is the fashion film directed by The Blink Fish that introduces Milan’s most awaited week in. In the video, a group of models accompanied by a tourist guide discover the iconic places of the city, wearing clothes by Act n.1, Arthur Arbesser, Gabriele Colangelo, GCDS, Giannico, Lucio Vanotti, Marco de Vincenzo, Marco Rambaldi, MSGM, Paula Cademartori, Sara Battaglia, Stella Jean, Tiziano Guardini and Vién.
