Equanimity, the Best Multisensory Armchair for Your Physical and Spiritual Well-Being

The armchair beyond the armchair, Equanimity is the link between personal care and state-of-the-art technologies, featuring a minimal and modern design

Reaching an immediate state of physical and spiritual well-being, immersing yourself in deep relaxation, recharging your physical and mental energy, overcoming anxiety, stress and fatigue. These are some of the benefits offered by Equanimity, a multisensory armchair that combines different disciplines related to personal care and state-of-the-art technologies engaging all the senses in articulated wellness paths inspired by nature.

More than fifty programs can be customized to meet individual needs

The project, the result of a seven years’ work by a team of 13 people including an expert of natural aromas specializing in the interaction between oils and vibrations, a composer and a film director, culminates in a cutting-edge system. Over fifty multisensory programs inspired by nature can be customized to meet individual needs, lasting from three minutes to over sixty, involving disciplines such as Feng-Shui, music therapy, color therapy, active and passive acupressure, LED light stimulations, thermal and olfactory stimulations through natural essential oils.

The innovative technologies contained in the Equanimity armchair make programs such as “Forest Bathing” possible. This program takes advantage of the power of therapeutic vibrations of the Earth to stabilize blood pressure and relieve stress and depression. It is based on an ancient Japanese practice called shinrin-yoku (“forest bathing”), an immersion in nature that has calming, rejuvenating and restorative effects and releases what Habiche calls “green power”.

This innovative seat, created by the versatile sculptress and designer Leila Habiche, will be launched in autumn 2019 and debuted at the Milan Design Week 2019 in the artist’s atelier in Milan accompanied by immersive installations that allowed visitors to experience its qualities.
