Over 100 initiatives, including events, workshops, installations, debates and conferences, for the 14th edition of the Barcelona Design Week
The 14th edition of the Barcelona Design Week, organized by BCD – Barcelona Centre de Disseny and FAD – Foment de les Arts i del Disseny, will be held from 12 to 20 June 2019 with the support of the Ajuntament de Barcelona and the Generalitat de Catalunya. Its main goals are to bring the general public closer to design and to increase the international visibility of the Catalan design sector, which includes almost 1,800 companies accounting for an annual turnover of €500 million.
The theme of the 2019 edition is “Transitions”. The transition from a linear to a circular economy is a necessary change for our survival and design plays a fundamental role: devising innovative processes.

Finally, the brand new format “Disseny en Diagonal” is the initiative that turns the city’s most famous avinguda into a continuous sequence of design episodes. [Roberta Mutti]
