The Italian journey of Architecture Tour_Italia 2019 continued in Trieste. Many architects from Trieste and province took part in the contest and in the training workshop focused on Tradition and Innovation in Architecture

On Thursday, July 4th, 2019, Trieste hosted the third meeting of the Architecture Tour_Italia 2019 – Tradizione e innovazione in architettura. An initiative promoted by Editorial Group Design Diffusion World, curated by architect Arianna Callocchia and organized in the capital of Friuli Venezia Giulia in collaboration with Ordine degli Architetti P.P.C. di Trieste e Provincia (the professional association gathering architects from Trieste and province).

The initiative, consisting in a contest and a training workshop held in the “Risto Škuljević” hall of the headquarters of Ordine degli Architetti P.P.C. di Trieste e Provincia, offered the architects the opportunity to present the most significant projects they carried out over the last two years in the field of restoration, requalification, renovation and interior design of both private and public buildings, to highlight their talent and illustrate today’s local architectural scene thanks to the Editorial Group DDW and its media channels.

After Thomas Bisiani’s welcome speech, architect and president of the Ordine degli Architetti P.P.C. di Trieste e Provincia, the conference continued with an introductory presentation by Arianna Callocchia, architect and curator of Architecture Tour_Italia 2019, and speeches by architect Giulio Polita and architect Cristiano Billia from David Chipperfield Architects.

At the end of the meeting, moderated by Francesco Krecic, architect, Superintendence of archaeology, fine arts and landscape of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the winners of the contest were announced.
