Europe’s first Signature Kitchen Suite showroom is in Milan

Calvi Brambilla has designed a new space for Signature Kitchen Suite in Milan, the brand’s first European showroom

Signature Kitchen Suite, the new brand of high-end built-in appliances of the LG Electronics Group, has chosen Italy for its debut in the European market. The brand’s first European showroom is located in Piazza Cavour and is a large space dedicated to design and food, in the heart of Milan, just a few steps from Brera.

The new showroom covers an area of 1,100 square meters, distributed on three levels: ground floor, mezzanine and basement. The fifteen windows overlooking via Fatebenefratelli, Piazza Cavour, and under the porticoes of via Manzoni establish a connection with the buzzing city life. Calvi Brambilla firm, which designed the showroom, has created different settings defining the different functions.

On the ground floor, a large fluid space is dotted with islands housing the different products. The settings are designed like contemporary art installations; sculptural monoliths in the shape of rocks and rigorous pink volumes inspired by the marble of Milan’s Cathedral house the products, in their pure function.

The entrance is defined by a large black wall on which LED screens, built-in appliances, and design objects typical of the kitchen are drawn. Objects and images encapsulate the philosophy of the brand and its three keywords – food, design, smart – like an authentic art installation.

The ground floor ends with a large area dedicated to cooking demos: an island as a stage, an extremely minimalist kitchen in white ribbed glass and pink steel profiles, where the appliances stand out as the protagonists.

The gallery owner’s house

The basement is a sequence of spectacular settings that make up the imaginary house of a gallery owner. Here, the various “rooms” do not have clear divisions, but follow each other with architectural and graphic solutions. Each room has a specific color, in a tone-on-tone interpretation. As a tribute to Italian and Milanese design, it features furniture created only by Milanese designers such as Achille Castiglioni, Franco Albini, Angelo Mangiarotti, Luigi Caccia Dominioni. Among the various appliances, Signature Kitchen Suite hosts some products of the other brands of the group such as LG Signature and LG ThinQ to show LG’s ability to propose solutions for all the functions of a home. The cooking school

Finally, the mezzanine houses the Food Academy, the beating heart of the project. It hosts cooking courses and all the activities related to the passion for food in all its forms, organized in collaboration with Andrea Vigna, the chef chosen by Signature Kitchen Suite as Food Experience Director.
