Design professionals look to the future with new certainties. On June 4 and 5, 2026, the city of Bergamo hosted the second edition of Interzum Forum Italy. The event confirmed its central role for the entire subcontracting sector. Manufacturing companies, architecture firms, and component producers together analyzed market transformations and new regulations. The event offered a perfect operational environment to build stable commercial connections and share development standards.

The Numbers Behind the Success in Bergamo

The final results of this edition reward the strategy of the organizers. The two halls of the exhibition center recorded extraordinary growth in terms of global participation.

Official data confirms the positive trend: 263 exhibitors from 26 nations; 4,400 total visitors arriving from 71 countries; a 40% international rate for the attending companies. Finally, over 40 speakers took the stage at the Trend Stage.

The Conference: Between Ecodesign and Artificial Intelligence

Debates and talks explored technological evolutions. The main focus included integrated kitchens, hybrid wellness spaces, and furniture systems for luxury yachts.

Speakers delved into innovation applied to design. Today, companies choose advanced furniture manufacturing solutions that integrate artificial intelligence, computational design, and IoT systems to create connected environments. The bedding sector also received significant attention, responding to new consumer demands by combining ecodesign with sleep quality. The industry thus addresses the digital transition with a strategic and conscious approach.

Surface in Motion: The Vanguard of Decorative Surfaces

The Surface in Motion Italy section captured the attention of planners and designers. The packed conference program offered a complete overview of next-generation decorative technologies.

The CSIL research center opened the proceedings with a detailed analysis of the European furniture industry. Subsequent meetings examined decorative printing and eco-sustainable finishes. This focus demonstrated the close link between the sensory perception of materials and the emotion of the living space. Thanks to an extensive network of Knowledge Partners like POLI.design, the event outlined the guidelines for the coming years. Interzum Forum Italy will return to Bergamo for its third edition, scheduled for June 7 and 8, 2028.
