The return of NOMAD St. Moritz, the art-design exhibition

NOMAD ST. MORITZ will be back from 8 to 11 July 2021, for the first time in summer in St. Moritz

NOMAD St. Moritz is the traveling exhibition of art and design established in 2016 by Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte. Dedicated to design collectors, NOMAD Circle always chooses exclusive venues. The past editions were held at Villa La Vigie, Monte Carlo, Palazzo Soranzo Van Axel, Venice, Palais Bulles, Théoule-sur-Mer. July 2021’s edition will take place in Sankt Moritz, at Chesa Planta, an Alpine mansion.

Among the special initiatives of the 2021 edition, the NOMAD YESMAD exhibition, curated by collector, curator, writer, lecturer and dealer Kenny Schachter, in collaboration with some galleries of the Engadin Valley. Moreover, for the first time, NOMAD St. Moritz 2021 collaborates with Christie’s to offer guests and clients a digital and physical experience. The collaboration with London-based auction house will make it possible to have a digital exhibition from 8 to 18 July, followed by an in-person event in London, at Christie’s, on a date yet to be set.

Select galleries from all over the world

Also this year, NOMAD St. Moritz is hosting galleries from all over the world. From Rio de Janeiro, Mercado Moderno will present the works by Inês Schertel (Brazil), while Milan-based Galleria Rossella Colombari will celebrate leisure time in the mountains with historic pieces by design and architecture icons such as Mario Gottardi, Carlo Hauner and Ignazio Gardella.

Special projects: Christo

Zuecca Projects, a cultural organization, and curator Christopher Taylor are bringing to NOMAD an exhibition of furnishings wrapped by Christo. Proceeds from sales will contribute to the realization of the German artist’s final project, L’Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped, a temporary artwork for Paris (September 2021).

Milan-based brand Design Editions proposed limited-edition pieces by Keiji Takeuchi, Mikal Harrsen and Studio Charlie. Iwan Maktabi, an important Beirut-based rug gallery, will showcase a collective project by three Lebanese designers: Rumi Dalle, Hala Matta and Roula Salamoun. Furthermore, an exclusive collaboration will present a home with sensual interiors, with the participation of Loro Piana and a new design by Raphael Navot, the Palm Duet Chaise Longue.
