Superstudio Group doubles and in September 2021 is coming back to Milan with two big events. In addition to the well-established Superdesign Show, at Superstudio Più, from September 5 to 10, the new, just opened Superstudio Maxi presents Design Beyond Design.

Design Beyond Design: Superstudio Maxi exhibitions at Fuorisalone 2021
Design Beyond Design is the project of a “design fair” on the move. The halls of Superstudio Maxi via Moncucco, in fact, host product exhibitions, installations, video projections, and productions, streaming meetings with the leading actors of the project. In addition to non-profit projects, such as the sale of objects for charity purposes, or Itaca, the new project dedicated to young people.

NeoDesign – by Leonardo Talarico. A personal debut. Pure lines, rigorous aesthetics, and innovation.

PandemicDesign – by Luca Gnizio. An essential setting, a table, a chair, a painting, a lamp. Symbolic furniture created with the recycling of industrial waste, of which Gnizio is a specialist.
The installations
Rays of Light – by Adriana Lohmann and Giò Colonna Romano. A luminous cascade with the new Slim lamps by Slide For Life.
Paperthinks – by Daniele Papuli. Paper sculptures or design objects, sinuous shapes, and fragile material become something else in the artist’s hands. Exclusive installation and video. In conjunction with Scultografie, a site-specific exhibition at Assab One (via Privata Assab 1, Milan, from September 4 to October 16).
Architecture and performance
Architecture
An Italian (architect) in… Architect-Tour conducted by Laura Ragazzola for Matrix4Design. Four films of about an hour to get to know the studios LOT-EK, with Ada Tolla and Giuseppe Lignano, BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, with Enea Michelesio, GG-loop, with Giacomo Garziano, and finally SNØHETTA, with Tommaso Maserati. Aphorisms – The thoughts of great architects that help build a better world scattered throughout the exhibition hall.
The performance
BodyInSign. Project by Susanna Beltrami, DanceHaus Academy, and Hip Hop Department. Site-specific and long durational performance, dance video, and talk by 40 performers who for 5 hours non-stop interact with the space discovering different techniques, languages, and knowledge. On September 5/6/9.
The interior design of Superstudio Maxi
Finally, Superstudio Maxi also includes several areas for conversation or simple relaxation. The five lounges are designed by Paola Navone, Marcel Wanders, Karim Rashid, Marc Sadler, Lorenza Bozzoli by Slide Design. Food&Beverage comes from Temakinho kiosk.
