After two years, Marmomac 2021, the fair dedicated to natural stone, is back with a physical edition
From September 29 to October 2, Marmomac 2021 returns to Veronafiere with a physical edition after a forced one year’s stop. At the 2021 edition, there are 756 exhibitors, 329 of which (45%) are foreign. And, despite the international situation and travel constraints, the delegations of buyers and visitors from abroad are also large. The 55th edition of the fair dedicated to natural stone and its processing has therefore opened under the best auspices.
The 2021 edition of Marmomac has other important new features. First, Marmomac Plus, the portal dedicated to the world of natural stone. On this platform, companies in the supply chain promote their products, projects and digital events, while professionals and operators have access to an interactive and constantly updated database of companies. Moreover, exhibitors will be able to stream their events at the fair on Marmomac Plus.
Another new feature at Marmomac 2021 is represented by the Marmomac Talks: meetings, lectures and workshops to keep the discussion on the stone sector alive and up-to-date, with the participation of professionals and experts. Marmomac Talks take place in three areas set up in Halls 2, 7 and 12.

Marmomac: architecture, design and art
An important section of Marmomac has always been reserved for exhibitions, where designers, architects and artists give shape to works that express the nature of stone in the section “The Italian Stone Theatre”. At Marmomac 2021, Time in Stone, curated by Raffaello Galiotto and Vincenzo Pavan, traces the history of stone through time. Stone is able to tell us about our world from the most remote eras, when it was formed, to the most recent ones, through the hand of craftsmen and the work of today’s “virtuous machines”.

In Our Time, another exhibition curated by Raffaello Galiotto and Vincenzo Pavan, is dedicated to today’s processing of stone. Nowadays, stone design has to deal with environmental concerns. For this reason, when designing with stone, special emphasis must be placed both on the durability of the product and on the possibility of reusing it at the end of its life. Designers and companies in the stone sector have thus had the opportunity to reflect on these issues with experimental and original projects.
