LEMA furnishes the new VIP Room in the ITA Airways Hangar Lounge at Roma-Fiumicino Airport
Lema entirely furnishes the new VIP Room in the ITA Airways Hangar Lounge located at Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport. The space was specially designed to meet the needs of specific passengers (Business class, Executive, Premium Volare and Elite Plus Skyteam members) departing to domestic and international destinations.

The new ITA Airways Hangar Lounge wants to be an ambassador of Italian excellence in the world and was created thanks to important synergies with the most prestigious Italian brands. The project, designed by the branding agency Robilant Associati strengthens the dialogue between ITA Airways and its passengers. They are, in fact, offered an exclusive space of 980 square meters with a maximum capacity of 150 people; a comfortable and functional area where it is possible to relax, hold meetings and network before departure.
Lema chosen for the customer experience of global travelers
Lema has been chosen to furnish the VIP Room of the ITA Airways Hangar Lounge. A space with attention to every detail, designed to meet the needs of travelers with Italian hospitality.
At the entrance there is the Venise corner sofa by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti. The wooden coffee tables of the same name, matching the seating, share the space with the Dolmen coffee tables crated by designer David Lopez Quincoces.
In the background, adding warmth to the room, is the four-door Picture sideboard by Roberto Lazzeroni, in sand-colored lacquer. The choice of warm colors and material finishes evokes the typical shades of the Mediterranean landscape. The living area is completed by the Felix armchair by Lazzeroni upholstered in fabric and the Ortis coffee tables in Calacatta marble and Portoro marble in contrasting colors, designed by the Buratti brothers.
Lastly, a composition of the Plain bookcase, designed by Francesco Rota, expresses Lema’s DNA, translating it into a metal structure with lacquered shelves that separates the living area from the work area. The work area features the sculptural Gullwing table designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, and the Ombra chairs by Piero Lissoni.
