Florim, award for SensiTerre and a new store in Seoul

The brand stands out at the 2025 Green Good Design Awards and continues its international growth strategy

A new and important recognition for Florim: the SensiTerre collection has received the prestigious Green Good Design Award 2025, one of the most important international awards dedicated to design and sustainability. The award, promoted by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, celebrates international excellence in pushing design toward increasingly high standards of sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Florim: SensiTerre is the only surface collection to receive the award

For the 2025 edition, hundreds of projects were submitted across product design, graphic design, architecture, landscape, and urban planning. SensiTerre was the only surface collection to receive recognition, confirming the originality of the concept and the effectiveness of Florim’s green approach.

The result of a collaboration between the company and designers Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana, the collection reinterprets the primordial essence of clay through advanced and sustainable manufacturing technology. SensiTerre is part of the CarbonZero project, through which Florim fully offsets the CO₂ emissions over the product’s entire life cycle. This choice aligns with the company’s vision—Florim has been a certified B Corp since 2020—that for over sixty years has combined innovation, beauty, and environmental respect, creating long-lasting value for both society and the planet.

Claudio Lucchese: “A journey built on passion, responsibility, and vision for the future”

“Being awarded for our commitment to sustainable innovation makes us extremely proud. It is recognition of a journey built on passion, responsibility, and a vision for the future. This achievement strengthens our determination to move forward with courage, creating shared value for the environment, people, and the community,” said Claudio Lucchese, Chairman of Florim S.p.A. SB.
The Green Good Design Awards were established in 2008 as the “green” edition of the Good Design Award. Florim previously won the award in 2021 for the Sensi collection and in 2024 for the FLORIM stone brand.

The Flagship Store in Seoul

Meanwhile, Florim continues its international growth strategy with the opening of a new Flagship Store in Seoul, strengthening its presence in the Far East, which began in 2019 with the showroom in Singapore. The new space is located in Gangnam, the undisputed epicenter of fashion and design in the South Korean capital, renowned for its elegance and exclusivity.

The decision to invest in this market stems from the strong affinity between Korean culture and Florim’s design philosophy, which combines a passion for art, aesthetic sensitivity, and respect for tradition. This common ground made Seoul a natural next step in the company’s international expansion journey.
