Amidst the mists of Val di Valles, SILENA – The Soulful Hotel redefines luxury through a whispered dialogue between Alpine peaks and Asian philosophy
At the edge of a silent forest, where the mountain’s breath leans toward abstraction, stands a retreat that challenges the conventions of Alpine architecture. SILENA – The Soulful Hotel is not merely an accommodation; it is a sensory bridge suspended between the solidity of the Alps and the meditative lightness of the East.

An Identity Sculpted in Time and Travel
The project for SILENA – The Soulful Hotel is rooted in the owners’ ancient family home, now transformed into a boutique hotel through the vision of NOA network of architecture* and architect Silvia Marzani. The venue’s identity stems from the managing family’s travels in Asia, successfully grafting an Oriental sensibility onto a deeply mountainous territory.
This is not a mere stylistic exercise, but a revelation: the design here does not construct a superficial story but unveils the soul of a place where deep woods, dark tones, and mineral grays guide the guest toward an almost hypnotic dimension.

SILENA – The Soulful Hotel: A Dialogue Between Day and Dream
The interior concept of SILENA plays with the “blue hour”—that thin boundary between waking and rest. In the rooms, canopy beds and midnight blue fabrics blend with natural materials, creating an intimate, rarefied atmosphere that brings the landscape of the moor directly into the sleeping area.
Narrative Surfaces: The Glamora Touch
In this choreography of meditative spaces, the hotel integrates Glamora surfaces as narrative thresholds, capable of transforming walls into landscapes of the soul. The intervention is not purely decorative but acts as a visual script accompanying the visitor’s journey.
- The welcome: in the reception and lounge, the Notte Bella wallcovering greets travelers with liquid depths—an explicit invitation to slow down and prepare for inner calm.
- The library: Looking up at the ceiling, one encounters Aurea. The depiction of a moon surrounded by a flock of birds transforms the ceiling into a symbolic sky, expanding the proportions of the space and the lightness of thought.

A Contemporary Sanctuary Between Two Worlds
Every room is built around natural materials and soft textures, where the scents of the forest filter through large glass windows. Architecture thus becomes a sensitive ecosystem where every element, from the soft lighting to the wallcoverings, contributes to a slow and conscious rhythm.
Wellbeing Between Earth and Sky
The hotel is divided between a ground-floor spa, featuring organic curves integrated into the terrain, and a panoramic wellness area on the top floor. In the latter, a lightweight wooden structure houses a sauna and a moss-planted roof garden, where Asian-naturalistic architecture reaches its peak, merging the rooftop with the green of the Alpine summits.
The final result confirms this project as an avant-garde sanctuary. Here, design does not serve to amaze, but to make one feel; the surfaces do not merely furnish—they safeguard the emotion of an encounter between two distant cultures, united by the same desire for peace.
