At the Roca Design Day in Barcelona, the brand debuts new industrialized solutions that combine sustainability, efficiency, and flexibility
The world of construction is changing rapidly. Today, it is necessary to unite sustainability, efficiency, and flexibility. In this scenario, Roca reaffirms its role as a strategic partner for designers. The occasion is the UIA 2026 World Congress of Architects in Barcelona.
The city, named World Capital of Architecture, hosts an event focused on the theme “Becoming. Architectures for a Planet in Transition”. Right here, Roca presented a radical novelty: the new modular bathroom system.

Roca Design Day: well-being becomes integrated
The Roca Barcelona Gallery hosted the Roca Design Day, a major forum for international architecture. During the event, Marianthi Tatari and Ren Yee from UNStudio explained the evolution of contemporary spaces.
Today, the bathroom is no longer just a sum of individual elements. Instead, it is transforming into a regenerative and technological environment focused on well-being and health.

The advantages of industrialized construction
The answer to these housing needs is an industrialized solution designed for the residential, hospitality, and healthcare sectors. Choosing a prefabricated modular bathroom offers concrete advantages at every stage of the project.
- Total integration: every module is assembled and tested in the factory. The structure, plumbing and electrical systems, finishes, and fixtures are integrated into a single, ready-to-install unit.
- Halved timelines: production takes place in the factory in parallel with construction site works. This reduces complexity and accelerates building delivery.
- Maximum customization: industrialization does not standardize aesthetics. Each module can be customized in terms of dimensions, layout, and materials.
Roca demonstrates that prefabrication does not limit the architect’s creativity, but rather guarantees a safe, reliable, and sustainable construction process.
