Trends, design, creativity: HOMI proves to be more and more “the lifestyle show”, a platform in constant progress and rich in contents updated at each edition, thanks to a meticulous research of exhibitors, projects and new exhibition formats.
HOMI, January 25-28, 2019
The objects are the main characters of a story about the rooms and the various functions of the house, the heart of people’s lives. As confirmed by the CasaDoxa Observatory, the house is central to the consumption choices of Italians, who invest resources and energy to make it comfortable and fit a changing world.
HOMI tells the story of this change with products from different areas, furniture complements, tableware, textiles, room fragrances, kitchen utensils, gift items.
The exhibitors are both established companies and start-ups and young designers, leading players in Creations and Experiments, spaces offering innovative objects and interesting redesigns.
Homi new materials
At HOMI, by January 2019, the new hybrid materials, the result of research carried out at POLI.Design, are also on stage. Specifically, designers and professionals can draw inspiration from moodboards based on new-concept materials for interior design and architecture projects.
HOMI Hybrid Lounge is the platform by HOMI and POLI.Design, dedicated to research into new materials for finishings in interior design. The setting is by Salamanca Design, with the scientific supervision of professor Francesco Scullica, the operational coordination by architect Fabio Daglio and a consultancy by designer Angela Mazzotti.
HOMI, January 25-28, 2019
Trends in shapes, materials, colors and consumption habits are the subject of the HOMI Trends space, created by HOMI with the market research firm WGSN.
HOMI Trends provides an overview of the latest design trends, from which designers can draw ideas and cues for their architectures.
Together, HOMI Hybrid Lounge and HOMI Trends show designers and architects a wide range of proposals for their projects, with samples of materials, products and moodboards which contain all the furniture trends for the coming seasons.
As usual, in January HOMI also hosts Festivity, the exhibition dedicated to decorations for festivities and special occasions, which opens on 23 January, two days earlier than HOMI, and closes on 27 January, one day before the general closing.
Finally, at HOMI, January 2019, there will be space also for seminars and talks: workshops and lectures will offer professionals ideas and new opportunities to strengthen their business and find new ideas to grow it.
