The Bridge Restaurant, a project by SHH Architecture & Interior Design, has recently opened in London.

Located within ExCeL London, a new conference centre, The Bridge hosts three different spaces on three levels: a take-away stand, a bar and a 230-seat restaurant, open throughout the day.

The interiors are dominated by a monochromatic palette, with accents of red, hazelnut and geometric prints, creating a linking thread between the three rooms. Made in Italy is the main star thanks to the Appia chairs by Maxdesign, here in black and grey, in line with the designers’ color choices.

Laurent, Café Royal Hotel

Laurent at Café Royal

Café Royal Hotel, on Regent Street, London, has been completely renovated in the last two years. In 2018 the Laurent restaurant was built and now it also provides the entrance to the building from Air Street.

The Laurent restaurant, designed by Piero Lissoni, includes a 110-seat room, characterized by a contemporary and sophisticated atmosphere, where luxury is understated.

Tables are in Verde Guatemala marble; chairs and armchairs combine velvet, leather and brass; the paneling in flamed oak, which covers all the walls, completes this space that evokes the elegance of a bygone age. Against the back wall of Studio Bar, the bar counter stands out thanks to its brass finishes, narrow and simple lines, and the backlit back counter in honey onyx.

Very contemporary details are provided by the exposed kitchen, visible from two large windows that separate it from the dining room, and the new Sushi area. All furnishings and finishes of the Laurent restaurant are made in Italy, created with care by Paolo Castelli, the Bologna-based company now internationally renowned for its style.
