Archea Associati and Modourbano: a new partnership in the design sector

Archea Associati, an international design company, and Modourbano, an architecture and design studio based in Milan, are launching a new partnership that will keep the two entities separate and independent, with the aim of creating a synergy based on different but complementary expertise intensifying a professional bond that has its roots in a shared past.

The encounter between Archea Associati and Modourbano

Luca Romagnoli – co-founder with Marco Zuttioni of MU Associati Milano S.r.l, an architectural studio dedicated to the project and design activities of Modourbano – completed his academic training at Archea’s headquarters in Florence, continuing his career in the company first as Project Leader, then as Chief Architect in the Dubai and Milan offices from 2007 to 2011.

Currently in the dual role of Managing Director of MU Associati and Director of Archea’s Milan office, Romagnoli will continue the activities already begun by Modourbano with a view to consolidating existing projects while directing the Archea studio in Milan to consolidate and implement the business, know-how and services offered to the clients.

Archea Associati

Archea, a studio founded in 1988 in Florence by Laura Andreini, Marco Casamonti and Giovanni Polazzi, became Archea Associati in 2001, with the entry and contribution of Silvia Fabi. The firm carries out works of Architecture, Design, Interior and Graphic Design all over the world with a team of about 220 architects operating in the Italian offices in Florence, Milan, Rome, Genoa and in the international offices in Paris, Tirana, Dubai, Beijing, Sao Paulo.

Their most important projects include the new Antinori winery in the Chianti Classico area in San Casciano Val di Pesa (Florence), Yanqing Grape Expo near Beijing, the Li Ling World Ceramic Art City in China, the National Stadium in Tirana, the Kiss Bridge in Vietnam, the New Sports Center of AC Fiorentina (Viola Park) and many others.

Characterized by exponential growth for the past two decades, in 2007 Archea Associati decided to open a new office in Milan, which now has more than 20 architects with many projects in progress, mainly in the office, residential, light industrial and hospitality sectors, in northern Italy and abroad.

Modourbano

Modourbano is a studio specializing in innovative and sustainable solutions for contemporary architecture and design in the residential, hospitality, banking, corporate and retail sectors. It was founded in 2010 as a collective of professionals with different cultural backgrounds and extensive international experience. Four years later, Marco Zuttioni and Luca Romagnoli founded MU Associati Milano, an architecture company dedicated to Modourbano’s project and design activities. The firm has completed many projects including Solari 32 (residential building at Via Solari 32, Milan), Mediobanca Premier (bank branch design), ING Bank (HQ Milan renovation), BancaTema (bank branch design).
