Hotel Bolzano 2024: highlights of the fair featuring Bio Paths, Architectural Tours, and awards for excellence in sustainability
From October 21 to 24, the Bolzano Fair will host the 48th edition of Hotel, the leading trade event for the hospitality and restaurant sector. This year, the focus will be particularly on sustainability, a key theme for the tourism industry. According to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), responsible tourism can significantly contribute to the sustainable development goals outlined in the United Nations’ Agenda 2030.
In this direction, Hotel Bolzano 2024 will offer a wide range of solutions, technologies, and trends that promote sustainability across all areas of hospitality. From Green Hotels to sustainable architecture, covering furnishings, management, and communication, as well as gastronomy, wellness, and software. There will be four key areas for in-depth discussion where experts and visitors can engage: Sustainable Superstars, Food & Drink, Architecture & Design, and Human Resources.
Highlights of the 2024 edition
Hotel Bolzano 2024 stands out for numerous innovations, including the introduction of new bio paths and architectural itineraries. Kilometro Bio, an exhibition area within the Food & Drink section, will be dedicated to organic producers who already supply products for organized catering in collaboration with local partners. In the Architecture & Design section, guided tours will be one of the main highlights of this edition, representing a significant opportunity to closely explore structures that embody the values of sustainable architecture. Thanks to collaboration with the Foundation for Architecture in South Tyrol, these tours will allow visitors to discover innovative and exemplary projects in the area. During the event, attendees will also have the opportunity to delve into these projects through presentations on the **Hotel Connects Stage**.

Additionally, for the sixth consecutive year, the Hotel Sustainability Awards return to celebrate the best practices and solutions in terms of sustainability and green progress. One category of the award is Sustainable Tourism Pioneers, dedicated to pioneering entrepreneurs in the tourism sector. This category is divided into 360° and Together, designed respectively for hotels and tourism businesses that already hold environmental certifications, and for smaller entities equally committed to sustainable development.
