The Numbers Behind the Success: Record-Breaking On-Site Sales

Held from March 4 to 7, 2026, at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) and the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC), the fair recorded an impressive estimated transaction volume of US$1.24 billion in on-site sales.

Key figures from the event highlight an unprecedented global reach:

  • 643 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions (including China, Japan, Turkiye, and Korea)
  • 18,402 unique visitors arriving from 123 different nations
  • 100,000 square meters of total exhibition space across 17 halls

What’s New in 2026: Sustainability, Lifestyle, and Young Talents

The furniture trade fair MIFF 2026 was not just a commercial trading platform, but a true incubator for design trends and innovation.

Among the most popular additions to this edition was the debut of The Muse Hall (at WTCKL), an area entirely dedicated to lifestyle and home décor. Significant attention was also dedicated to the green transition with the ENERtec roadshow, which focused on renewable energy and sustainable (ESG) practices for furniture manufacturers.

Cutting-edge design was highlighted through:

  1. Furniture Excellence Awards: accolades presented to products seamlessly integrating smart tech, modularity, and multipurpose usability.
  2. The SELECTS: Origins 1.0: a highly successful collaborative initiative pairing emerging local designers with Malaysian manufacturers, blending world-class creativity with industrial processes.

Industry Feedback: World-Class Networking

The effectiveness of the furniture trade fair MIFF 2026 was widely echoed by exhibitors. Samuel Sim of Master Grade emphasized that the fair accounts for about 30 to 40 percent of their annual export sales, praising the high quality of the international buyers in attendance.

International buyers expressed equal satisfaction. Jason Blalock of Crown Mark Inc. (USA) defined Malaysia and MIFF as “great resources for American, Australian, and global companies to find competitive pricing and quality manufacturing in an excellent exhibition format.”

Looking to the Future: See You in 2027

Riding the momentum of this year’s outstanding success, organizers are already looking ahead. The 33rd edition of the fair is scheduled to take place from March 1 to 4, 2027, once again hosting the industry at WTCKL and MITEC.

For buyers who were unable to attend in person this year, the digital platform MIFF Furniverse remains active to facilitate year-round online sourcing and business matchmaking.
