Comfort, tailoring, and sustainability meet on Lake Como as the Everyday Life collection clinches the prestigious recognition by INTERNI and Proposte Fair
The worlds of signature design and textile excellence have found their perfect match, and the result is nothing short of breathtaking. At Proposte Fair 2026—the historic and unmissable international showcase for furnishing fabrics held in the stunning setting of Villa Erba—an absolute novelty made its grand entrance: the debut of the INTERNI.PROPOSTE AWARD 2026.
This highly anticipated new prize was created with a very specific goal in mind: to shine a spotlight on the most innovative and successful synergies between major furniture brands and top textile manufacturers. Snatching the victory in the Inspired by Nature category was the beautiful Everyday Life collection, born from the pen of celebrated fashion designer Paul Smith for De Padova.

The winning project: An ode to harmony and natural comfort
So, what makes this collection so special as to deserve the INTERNI.PROPOSTE AWARD 2026? The secret lies in the extraordinary fusion of elegant forms and material excellence. To dress the clean, sophisticated lines of Everyday Life, the choice fell upon the Eidan fabric by Torri Lana 1885.
This fabric is a true manifesto of conscious design, the result of extensive research that centers on: the absolute quality of the raw material, a strong, forward-thinking commitment to sustainability and a fluid, effortless dialogue between the furniture’s structure and the textile’s weave.
The final result is a contemporary elegance that never compromises on comfort. It beautifully elevates a sensitive design vision where aesthetics seamlessly marry a deep respect for nature.

A stellar jury for the debut of the INTERNI.PROPOSTE AWARD 2026
The competition was incredibly fierce, featuring categories tailored to explore every facet of contemporary textiles—from the resilience of Fine Outdoor to the tactile sensations of Precious Touch, right up to the nature-focused category won by De Padova.
Decreteting the collection’s success was a stellar jury, bringing together some of the most influential and respected figures in design culture today: Gilda Bojardi, Gabriele Chiave, Francesca Lanzavecchia, and Alessandro Enriquez.
The jurors chose to honor the project with a motivation that goes straight to the heart of great design: the masterful use of natural fibers and the absolute coherence of the final product. According to the jury, the harmony between the sofa and its upholstery is simply flawless—proving that when Paul Smith’s fashion sense meets historic textile craftsmanship, true beauty moves in.
