After the sanitary emergency, China goes on and comes back to the live trade shows, with CIFF Guangzhou 2020
An unexpected success, that surprised the organizers, for CIFF Guangzhou 2020. Postponed by four months, and shortened in time, CIFF Guangzhou 2020, the first trade fair in China post-COVID, however, hosted 1,067 exhibitors, which welcomed more than 145,000 visitors, obviously almost all Chinese, or foreigners living in China.
However, the number of people who visited over 300,000 square meters of the exhibition brought a breath of optimism and enthusiasm in the market. The high attendance is further confirmation that the trade fairs, for the furniture industry, are still essential. It also shows that customers still want to touch the products, especially when it comes to products that need to be seen close to assess their quality.
The great effort of CIFF Guangzhou to carry out the fair in any case, even if shortened and postponed, instead of canceling it, has been rewarded. And it has undoubtedly helped businesses and the market in general.
CIFF, design and made in China 2025
Alongside the trade show which, given the exceptional situation, included all product areas together – home, office, and contract -, CIFF Guangzhou 2020 carried out design development programs, with the exhibitions Design Spring – Contemporary China Furniture Design Fair, and 2030+ International Future Office “IFO.”
The exhibitions and special events are part of the development program to promote quality Made in China and “design in China.” The journey, which strives to introduce the world to the best Chinese craftsmanship, consists of three successive biennial phases – 2021, 2023, and 2025. CIFF thus actively supports the “Made in China 2025” program, the strategic design to elevate Chinese production beyond the “copy factory.”
