Here and Now: Design in Action

5Vie presents four internationally renowned designers with four site-specific installations. At Via Cesare Correnti 14, curator Maria Cristina Didero offers the exhibition Looks Like Magic, by Spanish designer Jorge Penadés. Penadés uses textile scraps to give life to a new material and shows all the process phases in a pop-up laboratory set up for the occasion. Sara Ricciardi, a designer from Benevento, proposes a traveling performance that reinterprets the character of the street vendor. The designer will also design the “currency” of exchange with which visitors can buy products from the workers, which will be available at the 5Vie information booths.

SIAM will also host Richard Yasmine, a Lebanese architect and designer, who will not come to Milan but will be streamed from his studio during the whole event.

The performances will always be accessible, with reservations through the platform 5vie.it/events
