Foil: the mixer tap that is as thin as a sheet of paper

Foil, the new collection of mixer taps designed by Marco Pisati for Cristina Rubinetterie, is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic cylindrical tap. This series includes a complete range of single-lever taps for the bathroom, from the washbasin to the bidet, to the complete shower, in various finishes. Designed to save energy, it has an aerator that reduces water consumption to 5 liters per minute. The control lever is inserted into the body of the tap for easy inspection and maintenance.

The shape of Foil is inspired by the Streamline style typical of the ’30s and by the car bodies of the ’50s-’60s, when studies on aerodynamics resulted in soft and elegant car silhouettes. The collection is available in various finishes, chrome, matte black, brushed or polished rose gold (PVD), yellow gold, matte or polished black chrome, brushed metallic.

The streamlined shapes are best expressed in the colors and finishes that enhance the dynamism and the different curvatures. The shower, in particular, creates an effective contrast between the sleek design of the showerhead and the elegant curves of the rod. With this series, Marco Pisati and Cristina Rubinetterie open a new chapter in the series of single-lever taps.
