Ranging from art to design, the works on display show the aesthetic, artistic and manufacturing dimension of ceramic; they exalt its materiality to give shape to objects that become metaphors of a vision and a thought. A selection of works that, through juxtapositions of patterns and signs, vibrant colors, decorations and sinuous shapes, catch the attention of the visitors requiring their active participation.

Ceramics: Neverending Artworks presents authors who, with a daring and irreverent spirit, have challenged modernity and formal simplicity’s diktats, staging the ability to rewrite the rules to create unique objects and escape from the banality of everyday life.

The exhibition also includes many representatives of the Memphis movement; for Memphis designers, design is also irony, aesthetics is also ethics, and objects must be able to speak an emotional and sensorial language.

The constant search for beauty and uniqueness is the inspiring principle of the Iris Ceramica Group, which, just like the designers whose works are on display, enhances the aesthetic and technical properties of ceramic. Iris Ceramica Group’s research explores ceramic without restricting itself to conventions to meet design needs in continuous evolution.
