Natuzzi Italia is returning to Milan Design Week with Bao, the sofa designed by BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, which will be unveiled at the brand’s flagship store, via Durini, Milan.

The sofa is part of The Circle of Harmony, a project that Natuzzi Italia started in 2020 with the aim of creating a physical and virtual community of artists, architects and designers contributing to the brand’s stylistic evolution. This creative contamination has already given rise to extraordinary reinterpretations as well as new furnishing proposals designed specifically for lovers of the Mediterranean lifestyle.

Mediterranean style and comfort

The Bao sofa draws inspiration from the brand’s early upholstered furniture and recall the comfort and relaxation typical of Mediterranean life. In fact, the arm, seat and back cushions rest gently on the sofa’s internal structure, providing informal and comfortable seating. Bao is a modular system consisting of an armchair module, two- and three-seat versions, and several components, including corner units. The “wrinkles” on the upholstery enhance the soft design and improve the product’s visual and tactile comfort.
